Adolph J. Florence, age 97, WWII U.S. Navy Veteran, late of South Holland. Beloved husband of Pearl nee Levi. Loving father of Rosemary Papaleo, Jerry (Maria) Florence and Carol (Robert) Tumberger. Proud grandfather of Natalie, Jeffrey, Gina, Julie, John, Jenna, Michelle, Jaclyn and Scott. Devoted great-grandfather of Brooklyn Rose. Dear brother of the late Edward (late Josephine, late Bernice) Florence. Kind uncle of Edward and the late Elaine. Friend of many. Adolph was a retired Mechanical Engineer, past Quartermaster of the South Holland VFW Post 9964, longtime member of the Pinta-Neri Knights of Columbus #1846, and a talented carpenter. He will be missed by all that knew him. Visitation Monday, July 25, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:45 a.m. at Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 15801 S.
