Agnes C. "Aggie" Stevens, nee Horist, born January 14, 1926, died July 1, 2016, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family. Aggie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Edmund Stevens (2014), 11 siblings and her parents Antonia Trepel and Karl Horist. She is survived by her three loving children, Craig Stevens (Donna), Kathleen Vaughan (Edward Jr.), and Deborah Roseen (Howard). She has 10 adoring grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Aggie grew up in Chicago, the 11th child of 12, with a spirit of independence that lasted for a lifetime. She was selflessly devoted to her family and worked as a secretary and office manager once her children were grown. Aggie's fun-loving spirit, energy and enthusiasm kept her perpetually young; she worked hard and played hard her whole life. She loved cooking, homemaking, gardening, and even cement work, her father's livelihood. She enjoyed golf, dancing, swimming, camping, ceramics, and any activity with her grandchildren. Her happy, hope-filled life was a mirror of her faith, may God rest her beautiful soul.
