Arthur J. Ahrens, age 79, US Marine Reserve and Army Veteran, late of Dolton. Beloved husband of Ann Marie nee Mutka. Loving father of Luann (Chi) Ahrens and the late Paul Ahrens. Proud grandpa of Anna Paula and Lily. Dear brother of the late Evelyn, Leonard, Anna (late Charles) Snyder and Frieda (late Wasyl) Zaricki. Kind brother-in-law of Eleanor (late Florian) Lukowski, Florence (late George) Mika and John (Nancy) Mutka. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Arthur was physically active all his life; he enjoyed swimming, health, fitness and gardening. During his career, he was a Gear Inspector for Aerospace companies and eventually became the Inspection Manager. Arthur was a true family man; a loving husband to Ann Marie for 50 years; a wonderful father who made sure his daughter had a good education; a father-in-law who took on the role of father to his son-in-law, Chi; and a proud and devoted grandfather.
