Nylen and Rose Pett; kind uncle of several nieces and nephews. Ordained a Permanent Deacon in 1984, Director of Social Ministry from 1995 - 2011. Member of the Holy Name Society, Minister of Care, Eucharist Minister at St. Jude the Apostle Church in South Holland. 4th Degree Knight of Columbus Genoa Council. 3rd Degree Knight of Peter Claver. Past member of Catholic Charities Southside Advisory board. First co-recipient of Catholic Charities Compassion in Action Award, in 2003. Member of the Village of South Holland Central Committee. Lying-in-state Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 900 E. 154th Street, South Holland. Interment Assumption Cemetery.
