Belinda L.
Flowers
Sep 24, 1962 — Jul 4, 2024
Chicago
Belinda Lee Flowers was born in Chicago, Illinois during the fall of 1962 on Monday September 24, to the late Rev. Robert & Mable Flowers. It seems fitting she was born on a Monday, the start of the work week because staying on the move and busy was the pace for her life as she was always on the go!
Belinda was the middle daughter of three girls in the family, the late Sharon and Rena (Lucky), filled out the trio. They were happy sisters that only barely harassed their brothers Gregory and Kevin. They all spent a lot of time with their favorite cousins, Ronnie, Antwan and Tony.
Growing up the child of a Minister, faith was a way of life from a young age attending her fathers church until he passed, then she and the family found a new church home at Greater Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. An avid lover of knowledge and learning, She graduated from Latino Youth High School in Chicago. Our Beloved was fun, kind, generous, she'd give you anything you needed. And if she didn't have it, she'd find it & get it.
She was a dutiful and dedicated employee of Tropical Rentals for 26 years. Endearing herself to the clients with a knowing smile. She had a talent for growing not just plants but personal relationships as well. No one that met her walked away feeling like a stranger, but a new friend. However the term, thick as thieves was made for Marylin Roberts and Belinda, life long friends & Sisters from the day they met.
She leaves behind a daughter Chiquita Davis, her Brothers, Kevin(Keshia) and Gregory, a host of nieces, nephews, and God children. Such a huge multitude of friends and other loved ones several pages would be needed to list them all. Our Beloved's legacy and influence will live on through our hearts & memories.
