David William Dever Jr., age 90, U.S. Navy and U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, late of Georgetown, TX, formerly of Tinley Park, Riverdale, Roseland and the Bronx, New York, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2019. David is preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda nee Santoianni, brother John (Carol) Dever, and sisters Florence (John) Downing, and Dorothy (Norman) Hansen. He is survived by his dedicated partner in life, Lois Jansma. Devoted father of Denise (Mark) McDowell, Corinne (Michael Sr.) Brown, David William Dever III, Daniel Joseph Dever, and Gary (Julie) Jansma. Loving grandfather of Melissa (Peter) Benesh, Laura Ashley Brown, Michael Brown Jr., Daniel Joseph Dever Jr., David William Dever IV, Jacob Alexander Dever, Keira Elisabeth Dever, Lauran (Andrew) Grimes and Matthew McDowell. Proud great-grandfather of William Benesh, Natalie Benesh and Wyatt Grimes. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Memorial Visitation Friday, November 22 ^nd from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. at Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service) 14318 S. LaGrange Rd.
