Eleanor M. Baltes, 100, of Orland Park, IL passed away on June 8, 2022 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by parents Anton and Selma (Spars) Baltes, brother Anton J. Baltes and and sister Evelyn (Baltes) Schuette. She is survived by nephews Dean Schuette (Maureen), David Schuette (Deb), Dan Schuette, nieces Diane Jorgensen, Donna (Andy) Rich, grandnephews Danny, Mark and Timmy, grandnieces Sara and Beki, and several great grandnephews and nieces.

As a youth, she enjoyed tennis and ice skating. Eleanor was proud to have served as a Red Cross Nurse's Aid Volunteer for several years following the bombing of Pearl Harbor. She had a career as a secretary, retiring from Bell and Howell as an Administrative Secretary. Following retirement she was a hospital volunteer for 15 years at Palos Hospital in Palos Heights, IL.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on June 13, 2022 directly at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church in Orland Park, IL. Interment at St Mary Catholic Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL. Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church in Orland Park, IL.
