Elia May "Mary" Provenzano (nee Clark), age 94, late of Hazel Crest, formerly of Chicago passed away peacefully December 21, 2019. She was born on February 13,1925 in Huntington, West Virginia to late George and Elia Clark. Beloved wife of the late Ralph S. Provenzano; devoted mother of Jo Ann (Manfred) Schwandt, Paulette Barbick, Steve Provenzano, and Debra (Rich) Lapis; p roud grandmother of 10, great-grandma of 17, and great-great grandmother of 4; k ind aunt of many nieces and nephews.

In Elia's spare time, she loved to work around her home and garden.There was never a job too large or too small that she would not tackle. She also enjoyed a good evening of dancing with friends and family. She was a strong, determined, kind and caring woman. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul.

Elia was loving and compassionate person who loved to be with her family. She enjoyed telling her stories at all the family gatherings. Most of all she loved and adored her children and many grandchildren. They were her world. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into her children's faces, the pure joy radiating from her would blind you. Elia wanted nothing more for them than to have a wonderful life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial Visitation Monday, January 6, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m at Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 15801 S. Cottage Grove Ave., four blocks North of 162nd St. (Rte. 6) Dolton/South Holland. Inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
