Elizabeth Stewart, age 88, of South Holland was a successful entrepreneur of several businesses, a loving wife, and devoted mother and grandmother. She is most remembered for her love of gardening that extended beyond just her backyard. She planted seeds in the hearts and minds of everyone she encountered and her nurturing spirit enriched the lives of friends and family with everlasting color and beauty. She leaves to cherish her fondest memories: the love of her life, Dickie "Richard" McCurry; her 4 devoted children Gwendolyn, Victor, Michael (LaVern), and Jevita; 14 grandchildren Payton (Sindy), Jawanna, Latrenda, Marc, Saranna, Tomeka, Jimmy (Tori), Brandie (Mack), Rashaan (Juanita), Nancy (Clarence), Michael II, Ivory, Terrence, and Daniel; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren, sister Mary Hardy and a host of extended relatives and friends including the McCurry Family.  Visitation Saturday 12 p.m. until Funeral Service at 1 p.m. at Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service) 15801 S. Cottage Grove Ave., four blocks North of 162nd Street (Route 6), Dolton / South Holland. Interment private.
