Erwin W. Gurtatowski "Erv Gurt", age 81, late of South Holland. Beloved husband for 60 years of the late Rita Ann Gurtatowski nee Klimczak. Loving father of Linda Sue (Tom) Saballus, James Gurt and Tracy Gurtatowski. Proud grandfather of Wayne (Angie) Koontz, Jason Gurt, Nicole Gurt, Michelle Gurt and the late Michael Gurt. Dear great-grandfather of Alexandra Koontz, Kylie Koontz, and Evan Gurt. Dear brother of Conrad (Joyce) Gurtatowski. Kind uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews. Erv spent many years as a Religious Education Teacher as well as many other ministries at St. Jude the Apostle Church. As a saxophone and clarinet player, Erv entertained many for decades with his band Erv Gurt and the Diplomats. Retired Allstate Insurance Agent with 34 years of dedicated service.
