Gary Lee Poynter, age 71, late of Burbank. Beloved husband of Cynthia nee Wieciech. Devoted father of Christine (Guy) Goberville and Carolyn (Terry) Hronec. Proud grandfather of Vaughn and Veronica Goberville and Molly and Leo Hronec. Loving brother of Jessica (Joseph) McCarthy, Janet (late Edward) McCarthy, Patricia (Robert) Kakos, Peggy (Keith) Wyma, Deanna (Dave) Blyth, Valerie (Bill) Reid, the late Rodney (Renee) and Jeffrey (Julie) Poynter. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Dear son of the late Brooks and Irene nee Postrozny. Gary was a Reservist for 15 years in the U.S. Air Force. He owned American Eagle Sign Works. Visitation Monday, January 4th, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 14318 S. LaGrange Rd., (9600 W/Rt. 45), Orland Park. Lying-in-state Tuesday, January 5th, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass 10 a.m. at  St. Fabian Church, 8300 Thomas Ave, Bridgeview, IL 60455. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
