In the arms of her daughters, Genevieve "Jenny" Lalich (nee Mistovich), age 97, passed away on April 13, 2013. Beloved wife of late Michael. Loving mother of Sandra Lalich and Georgene (Bob) Thomas. Devoted grandmother of Gayle (Chad)Nikel and Michael (Kristen) Lotkowski. Cherished great grandmother of Sophia and Eleanor Lotkowski and Abigail and Jade Nikel. Dearest sister of Millie (late Lou) Budimir and Rose (late Jim) Lebeter and sister-in-law of Dorothy (late George) Lalich. Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, Kumovi and friends. Preceded in death by those she held so dear, mother Sophie, brothers Peter (late Ceil) Mistovich,Robert (late Sylvia) Mistovich and Sam (late Mary) Mistovich, sisters-in-law Sonja (late Walter) Newell, Mitzi (late Robert) Glumac, and Desanka (late Harry) Pacini. Genevieve was a member of St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church, longtime member of Serbian Senior's Club and Knjeginja Zorka, supporting member of Serbian Singing Society Sloboda. Retired from the Chicago Board of Education, having supervised the baking at George Washington High School and having created many memorable desserts for special events and meetings of the Board of Education and it's members and guests. Mrs. Lalich was well known for her creative talents in both baking and cooking. She will always be remembered with love and admiration.
