Geraldine A. Santoro (née Wieczorek), age 80, late of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Pullman, MI and Orland Park, passed away in her sleep, after an 18 year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Beloved wife of Philip R. Santoro Jr. Devoted mother of Philip R. (Jennifer) Santoro III, and Lisa (Michael) Sneed. Proud grandmother of 6. Loving sister of Judy (late Jack) Barry, Janet (Bret) Coyne, the late Carol (late Ron) Ecker, and John Wieczorek. Dear sister-in-law of Nancy (Howard) Chevlin, the late Phyllis James, and Arlene (Jack) Riffice. Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews. Gerry was formerly a Sister of St. Joseph Nun for seven years, and an English teacher in School District 135 for 22 years. She was a also CCD teacher and extraordinary minister at St. Michael Church.  Visitation Monday, September 12th from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, September 13th 8:45 a.m. from Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 14318 S. LaGrange Rd., (Northbound traffic: U-turn permitted at 143rd St.) Orland Park to St. Michael Church, Mass 9:30 a.m. Private Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the Alzheimer's Association are appreciated.
