Helen E. Nelson nee Pater, age 98, late of South Holland. Beloved wife of the late Jack. Devoted mother of Nancy Nelson, John (Jane) Nelson, Karen (Charles) Oliver, Bonnie (George) Hutman, David (Linda) Nelson, Linda Nelson and the late Richard (Cathi) Nelson. Proud grandmother of 18 and great-grandmother of 32. Dear aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews. Helen was retired from St. Catherine of Genoa Church with many years of dedicated service. She was a volunteer with Catholic Charities, Ingalls Hospital, Ingalls Hospice and the One Step at a Time Cancer Camp through Children's Memorial Hospital.
