Henry "Hank" King, age 86, late of Tinley Park. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy née Belanger and Marion née Dombrowski; devoted father of Rose (Dan) Follenweider, Allen (Debbie) King, and Carolyn (Brian) Whiteford; loving grandfather of Joe (Lynda), Carrie, Tony (Kristen), Kristen, Ryan (Brittney), Laura, Erin, and Carly; dear great-grandfather of Joshua, Jacob, Jordan, Addison, Anthony and Everly. Hank was the only child of the late Alexander and Rachel (Rose) King. He was a graduate of Englewood High School and a dedicated employee of Gordon Baking Company (Silvercup Bread) for 15 years, and Sears in the River Oaks Shopping Center for 25 years. In his retirement, Hank volunteered at local hospitals, sang with the Knights of Harmony Barbershop Chapter, and belonged to WOW, a south suburban widowed group. Hank was very grateful for his loving family and friends. Visitation Sunday, 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a service at 6:00 p.m. and Monday 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. at Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service) 14318 S. LaGrange Rd. (Northbound traffic: U-turn permitted at 143rdSt.), Orland Park. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
