James "Jim" Dunne, age 91, late of Mokena formerly of Elwood and Dolton. Jim was an Army Veteran of the Korean war and a member of the veteran honor guard at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, a union Local 130 Plumber for 73 years, and a well-respected employee of The Drake Hotel Chicago. Beloved husband of the late Carole A. Dunne for 67 blessed years; loving father of Brian (Lisa), Michael (Jodi), the late Kathleen, Judith (Joseph) Weingarz, and Timothy (Kathy) Dunne; proud grandfather of Josh & Nick Dunne, Matt, Colleen & Kelly Dunne, Kevin, Sean, Clare & Maggie Weingarz, Jack & the late Charlie Dunne; cherished great-grandpa of Roman, Aiden, and Dominic; dear brother of the late Peter (late Nancy), Tom (late Carol), Terry (Gloria) and Denny (Fran); kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Jim had a long, faith-filled life and his family was so lucky to have him for 91 wonderful years. He loved his grandchildren, Chicago Bears football and his faith. Jim was an active parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Manhattan, and St. Jude the Apostle Church in South Holland, where he was an usher, a member of the Holy Name Society, and Athletic Board. Services and Interment for the immediate family at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery are Private.
