Jean P. Costabile (nee Bianchini), age 86, formerly of historic Pullman in Chicago, passed away on July 30, 2020. From 1969 until her passing she resided in South Holland, Illinois. Jean was the dear daughter of the late Angelo and Bernice Bianchini, owners of the "Jolly Inn" restaurant of Pullman from 1934 to 1985. Jean was born on July 17, 1934, the youngest of seven children. She was the much loved little sister of the late Clara, Loretta, Edward, Marcella, Irene, & Dolores. She was the devoted mother of Gina Marie Howes, and the late Michael Gene Costabile, Jr., and Robert Angelo Costabile. While Jean was the heart of her home and her children meant the world to her, she was also "head over heels" for her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was the loving grandmother of Angela (Matthew) Slager, John Alexander Howes, and Julia Christin Howes, and the proud great-grandmother of Abigail Howes, Blake and Jake Ruiz, and Edward Gordon-Howes. She was aunt to seventeen nieces and nephews, including Margaret Ann Coulter, of whom she was also a loving godmother. As a young woman Jean had the opportunity to sell Avon and World Book Encyclopedia. This inspired her love for sales. She eventually became a real estate agent in South Holland at Santefort Reality, all the way to Beverly in Chicago. Culminating in her becoming a real estate broker for many years. Furthermore, she donned a second career, as an account clerk II for the State of Illinois for 20 years until her retirement. Jean's success in sales was largely due to her being so sociable. She had the gift of hospitality. She enjoyed hosting many parties, from holidays to graduations to galas. She was a real people person. Her other great joy was shopping and fashion. Jean was always up on the latest trends, and loved to dress fashionably, from her early childhood into her elder years. She loved to shop, and never missed a sale. But not just for herself, she was also known for her generosity and how much she loved to buy gifts for her family and friends. She will be sorely missed as she a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. We will always remember her vivacious personality and generous spirit. Private Inurnment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
