John A. Peterson Sr., 83, of Park Forest was the son of the late Clifford and Ila (nee Bortell) Peterson; beloved father of Debbie (Glenn) Miller, John (Linda) Peterson Jr, Cyndi (Brett) Whitten, Michelle (Tony) Siegert and the late Joseph, Gary and Elizabeth Peterson; proud grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 12; dear brother of Mary (Fred) Cole, Jean Keller, Glenda Peterson, Carol Mohammed, Darlene Ashtiani, Harold Peterson and Bud Peterson. John was a graduate of Knox High School, Knox, IN, served in the US Army Reserves and worked for the Ford Motor Co. for 38 years until he retired to cheer on his beloved Cubs full time. Memorial services will be scheduled for a later date.
