Joseph A. Correa, age 92. Passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on February 15, 2021. Loving husband of Mary (nee Brazinskas). Beloved father of Susan (Terry) Hammerel, Jerome (Helen), Dawn (Peter) Papakyriacou and preceded in death by his son John. Adored grandfather of Daniel (Katerina) Peers, Matthew, Damian, Courtney (Jack) Krieger, Alexi, Theodore and Nina Papakyriacou. Dear brother of 14 siblings. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Joseph was known for his friendly smile, devotion to family and friends, and his love of God. He was a Sergeant First Class with the Second Infantry Division in Korea. He spent his career working for National Tea and Jewel Food Stores as a District Manager. He also was a devoted Usher at St. Michael Catholic Church in Orland Park for many years. Visitation Wednesday, February 24th from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Thursday, February 25th, 10:30 a.m., from Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 14318 S. LaGrange Road (Northbound traffic, U-turn permitted at 143rd St.) Orland Park, to St. Michael Church Mass 11:30 a.m.  Private Family Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
