Karyn M Buoscio, age 63, late of Palos Hills. Devoted mother of Mallory (Alex) Silva; proud Nonni of Aaliyah, Aubrey, Isaac, Leonardo and Lucas; dear sister of Beth (Frank) Mager, Harry F. (Annmarie) Buoscio and the late Charles "Chuck" Buoscio; loving daughter of the late Honorable Judge Harry R. and Susan R. Busocio; kind aunt of many nieces and nephews. Karyn also leaves behind her adored, German Shepherd grandpup, Marlee. Karyn grew up on the Southeast side of Chicago and was a graduate of St. Francis DeSales high school. She successfully continued her studies at Calumet College, graduating with honors in 1983, with a bachelors degree in Psychology and an associates in English. Additionally, Karyn attended the Chicago School of Performing Arts, where she furthered her skills in singing and performing. Based on her tales, some of the best years of her life. She then began her long, over 35-year career as a professional psychiatric counselor in mental health clinics, and later as a probation officer for the Cook County court system in Markham, Bridgeview, and the City of Chicago. She had a passion for psychology and human nature, especially when it came to her work. Karyn deeply cared about a person's mental health and wellness, evident through her many years of dedicated public service, helping rehabilitate those with whom she worked, and her genuine selfless disposition, in general.

She was a hard-working, loving mother and a funny, caring, one of a kind Nonni. She was always dependable when her family needed her and well known for her strong will and tenacity.  Karyn deeply embodied and embraced her Italian heritage through her cooking, unconditional love for family, her eccentric story telling, and in keeping a spotless home. An animal lover, especially of horses; a fashionista and ambassador for lipstick; unashamed to be herself and live life, her own way; wholly unforgettable and sorely missed. A private family memorial mass and celebration will take place at a future date. Interment at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood. With love, until we meet again.
