Lillian M. Pielnik nee Gula, age 96, late of South Holland formerly of Roseland. Beloved wife of the late Walter Pielnik. Sweetheart and best friend of Bill Walker. Loving mother of Debra (Joseph) Gerhart and Patricia Pielnik. Devoted grandma of Britany, Kelsea, Jori and Justin Zeglin, Josh Patricoski, granddogs Ditka, Apollo, the late Woodrow and Chestnut and grandcat Mo. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Lillian was retired from Roseland Community Hospital with over 20 years of dedicated service as a Physical Therapy Assistant. She was the past President of the Holy Ghost Polish American Club, member of the Holy Ghost Homemakers Club, 40 year member of her Rosary Club, a long time Election Judge, and a devout Catholic. Lillian was extremely devoted and active in her grandchildren's lives. She was strong, resilient, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Loved traveling, bowling, and her Polish heritage. She was the Matriarch of the family and will be deeply missed. Visitation Friday, from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Saturday, 10:15 a.m. from Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 15801 S. Cottage Grove Ave., four blocks North of 162nd St. (Rte. 6) Dolton/ South Holland to Holy Ghost Church Mass 11:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
