Obituary

Lisa JoAnn Lindeman, age 54 after a brief but courageous battle against cancer, passed away on September 15, 2017 in the safe embrace of her family and safely conducted to her rest in the hands of God's gentle touch. Most cherished and adored daughter of Loretta, nee Gromala and the late Leonard Lindeman. Treasured sister of Gary, Greg (Lee Do) and Lennie (Jennie) Lindeman. Loving niece of Darlene (Richard) Michalski. Adored granddaughter of the late Joseph and Anna Gromala and the late Mary and Adam Lindeman. Dear cousin and relative to many and graced by the love of so many aunts and uncles who preceded her in death. Visitation Friday, Sept 22, 2017 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 15801 S. Cottage Grove Ave., four blocks North of 162nd St. (Rte. 6), Dolton/South Holland. Funeral Saturday, September 23, 2017 10:00 am (friends and family are asked to meet directly) at St. Ann Church, 3010 Ridge Road, Lansing. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum. Lisa was a graduate of Echo School, received her communion and confirmation in a special program at St. Ann, competed in and received many award winning medals in the Special Olympics conducted at Soldier Field and was a proud member and participate in the LARC organization. Her memory will be an inspiration and remain a blessing for all her family, friends, teachers and special needs colleagues. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to LARC, 19043 Wentworth Ave., Lansing Il. 60438.
