Obituary

Nathaniel Freeland's blessed event began September 27,1936  to the late Pauline and L.M. Freeland, in Newman, Georgia, sharing a ecclesiastic christian life with his sibling.

He united in matrimony 56 years ago, to Alicia Harden, combine three children Cindy; Cedric; and Crystal. Assist in the Nature of his grandson LaChris. Paternity of Fayronel and Johnny.

Nathaniel had a great affection for his family, loving passion for his grandchildren, and in particular to DANCE among them all. He loved and enjoyed dancing , being the delight of any celebration.

Nathaniel was superior to many being a Husband, father, grandfather, and others that considered him as POP's ; PA; GODFATHER; BROTHER; UNCLE.

His ultimate goal of life was installed in him as a young child, being Baptized and to walk with GOD.

Lifting his surroundings with his with his joyful spirit to listening to and singing gospel music often imitating his ancestors The Freeland singers.

As a young adult, Nathaniel applied himself to working at the cotton mill, cemetery, and family restaurant all in Newman, Georgia.

Nathaniel uplifted his family from Newman, Georgia to Chicago Heights in 1967 with his sister. Beginning his new journey working at North Memorial Hospital and Sweet Heart Cup Company. Finding the compassion to be devoted for 35 years at Inland Steel Mill where he apart with excellent commemoration.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memory his Loving wife Alice Freeland, his daughter's Cindy L.Tucker {Myra} of Burnsville, Minnesota; Crystal L. Freeland of Dolton, Illinois, and Fayronel of Indiana; his son's Cedric L. Freeland {Doris} of Hammond, Indiana and Johnny Freeland of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Grandson LaChris Freeland {Lanysia} Sisters Janet Crossland {Edward} and Wylene Jackson {Joseph} both of Atlanta, Georgia. Sister-in-law Bertha Freeland of Atlanta, Georgia, and Brother-in-law Robert Brown of Newman, Georgia and Eugene Brown of Norfork,Virginia.

17 grandchildren 8 grandchildren.

Visitation Friday, June 7, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. at Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service) 15801 S. Cottage Grove Ave., four blocks North of 162nd St. (Rte. 6) Dolton / South Holland. Interment Mount Glenwood Memory Gardens South.
