Calumet City
Richard A. Huhra, age 93, late of Calumet City, formerly of Burnside. Beloved husband of the late Adeline A.; loving father of Lourdene, Nancy (Tom Rowley), and Michael Huhra; proud grandfather of Michael A. Huhra; fond brother of the late Edward Huhra; kind uncle of Mary Mianulli and Allen Huhra; dear friend to many.
Richard was a 48 year employee of Solo Cup Company, where he was known for his management and people skills. He was a long time chair of the Ways and Means Committee at the Burnside Triangle Civic Association, and member of St. Victor Parish in Calumet City. Richard taught us by his example to work hard, always do your best, be kind, and appreciate your friends. He loved to play cards and could beat anyone in 500 rummy. He loved an occasional trip to the casino.
