Richard R. McFadden, age 63, late of Calumet City. Beloved husband of Debbie May nee Armstrong; devoted father of Ryan (Allison) McFadden, Nicole McFadden, Melissa (Kyle) Germait, and Erica (Christopher) Hernandez; proud grandfather of Christopher Jr., Olivia, and Warren; dear brother of Robert R. (Christine M.) McFadden; kind uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Richard coached hockey, baseball, and softball; and on the sidelines of St. Ann football games, you can still hear him belt out "ROUGH RIDERS" with a loud, deep roar. His stubbornness won him many arguments over the years - both with referees and anyone who challenged him.

He was always the life of the party. His and Debbie's basement bar, Dick's Dive, was home to many fun and exciting parties. Rick loved life and lived it to the fullest; he was always rocking out to some classics like AC/DC and Metallica. He was never afraid to take on new adventures like skiing and dirt bike racing, and he passed on his love for NASCAR races to each of his children. He could make friends with anyone he met, and his witty and happy-go-lucky personality was definitely contagious.

His legacy will be carried on through his children and grandchildren. He is resting peacefully forever in our hearts until we meet again.

Visitation Thursday, 3p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service 7:00 p.m. at Thornridge Funeral Home, (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 15801 S. Cottage Grove Ave., four blocks North of 162nd St. (Rte. 6), Dolton/South Holland. Interment Private. Memorials may be directed to the family.
