Richard J. Tropp passed away on November 28, 2023. Formerly of Chicago's Roseland area. Loving Husband of Mona (nee Krasovec) for 45 years. Devoted son of late John and late Josephine Tropp. Dear brother of Ronald (Patricia) Tropp, David (Suzie) Tropp, and Joanne (Jay) Crissey. Devoted uncle of Steven Crissey, Michael Crissey, Stephanie Crissey, and Jenny Crissey. Loving Godfather of Laura and Kathryn. Also survived by other nieces and nephews. U.S. Air Force Veteran of Vietnam Conflict. Richard was employed for over 40 years with Dept. of Veterans Affairs - Hines,IL. , Member of Tinley Park American Legion Post #615. Richard received his Masters Degree in Business from Governors State University,A vid Golfer, White Sox and Bears Fan. Visitation Friday December 1, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service) 14318 S. La Grange Rd, Orland Park,IL (Northbound Traffic, U-turn permitted at 143rd st.). Family and friends will meet Saturday December 2, 2023 DIRECTLY at St. Elizabeth Seton Church (9300 W. 167th St; Orland Hills,IL 60487) for Funeral Mass at 11:30 am. Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to The Cancer Support Center in Mokena is preferred.
