Robert C. Sommerfeld, age 90, late of Palos Park formerly of Beverly. Beloved husband of the late Charlotte I. Sommerfeld nee Williamson. Devoted father of Warren and Brian (Nicole) Sommerfeld. Proud grandfather of Christina (Matt), Timothy, Austin, Brandon, Jason, and Maria. Dear great-grandfather of Sadie and Adam. Loving brother of Theodore, the late Lynwood and Dorothy Sommerfeld. Robert was a retired banker with Continental Bank. He was active in his community, and served as president of Eagle Ridge Home Owners Association, as well as Peace Village. He served his country after World War II in Germany. Memorial Visitation Saturday, August 6th, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. at Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 14318 S. LaGrange Rd., (9600 W/Rt. 45), Orland Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Peace Village in memory of Robert.
