Sophie J. Stump (née Acquaviva) age 94, late of South Holland. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred; devoted mother of Russell (Kristin) and Charles (Catherine) Stump; proud grandmother of 10, and great-grandmother of 11; loving sister of Lucille (late Babe) Gasik, Norman (Alice), Angie, and the late Tony (late Phyllis) Acquaviva. Sophie was very generous in giving back to her community; she volunteered at Ingall's Memorial Hospital with her sister Lucille for over 20 years, served as a Eucharistic minister at St. Jude the Apostle Church, as well as the past President of her local AARP Chapter. Visitation Sunday, 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral Monday, 9:45 a.m. from Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service) 15801 S. Cottage Grove Ave., four blocks North of 162 ^nd St. (Rte. 6) Dolton / South Holland to St. Jude the Apostle Church Mass, 10:30 a.m. Interment Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the family are preferred.
