In the early hours of September 20, 2016 Virginia passed away at Sunset Senior Home, Hayward, Wisconsin while being attended by her loving daughter, Pamela and caring staff.

Virginia was born in Chicago, and as a child had wonderful opportunities to travel with her family. She graduated from Bowen High School in Chicago. She met the love of her life, Michael "Mac", and were married on September 9, 1939. Virginia and Michael had four children: John, David, Pamela, and Paul. They have 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Jude the Apostle Church from its inception as a "barn-church" in 1957 until they retired in Hazel Crest, Illinois. She would often trudge through the winter's snow to attend early morning Mass when her husband was at work.

When Mike died she lived briefly in California where two of her sons lived. In 2008 she moved to Hayward, Wisconsin to be with her daughter, Pamela. She seemed to be most comfortable and content in Pam's loving care and companionship.

A Memorial Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at St. Jude The Apostle Church, 900 E. 154th St., South Holland, IL 60473 with Rev. Ignatius Anaele officiating. Interment Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
