Thomas M. Janusz Sr. was born and raised in the Grand Crossing neighborhood of Chicago. A 1959 graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science, he and his wife, Betty Lou, as first-generation funeral directors, founded Thornridge Funeral Home in 1973.
Betty Lou Janusz graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 1975.
Son Thomas M. Janusz Jr. and daughter Lynn Ann Janusz grew up in funeral service, helping their parents and learning from them. As second-generation funeral directors, they bring a new perspective to the family business and are proud to continue their parents' successful entrepreneurial legacy and tradition.
